Packaging technologists are responsible for the design, development and manufacture of packaging for a range of products. Packaging technologists work on packaging ideas for toiletries, clearning and lots more. Specific job responsibilities generally include: generating new packaging products in response to briefs QC/QA of packaging products to meet requirements and specifications Developing alternate packaging solutions liaising with marketing, purchasing and production staff running trials to check packaging for suitability and testing for performance under various conditions controlling production and quality standards evaluating, selecting and negotiating with suppliers identifying and choosing products from suppliers MIS and reporting keeping up to date with technological innovations
